[Year 12 SofDev] Interface requirements for SAC or SAT

Hi there community,

I'm going to ask what might seem like a stupid question, but are the students required to create an interface (GUI) for either the SAC or SAT?

Bear with me.

The SD Programming Requirements document "mandates programming requirements that students are to use when developing working modules and purpose-designed solutions. Schools must use these requirements as the basis of choosing a programming language for study".

In there it says, Interface, Logic and Data Source layers. Ok fine, choose a language that can do those things.

The document also says, "For assessment purposes, students must be familiar with all of the listed programming requirements; however, not all requirements must be addressed in each task. Teachers are expected to select the appropriate requirements based on the key skills outlined in the study design."

Stay with me.

The study design does not list any reference to "interface" under any of the Key Skills for any of the Outcomes for Unit 3 or Unit 4. Nor does the SBA document for the SAT list "interface" through any of the requirements.

Am I misinterpreting, reading into it too much, or just not seeing the implied requirement? From how I read it, even moving from one document to the other, I don't see a reference where a student has to, or is required to create a GUI even though their chosen programming language must support it.

Your thoughts on this would be great.

Thanks
