Can't recommend Adrian's work highly enough, and was glad to offer my two cents of proofreading this time around (I feel like I should have done more, but life gets busy).



We have a seven day Headstart, and I was thinking of doing a "week of programming" - in the past, talking outcomes and satisfactory completion goes down like a lead balloon so "let's get them working". The students have done programming in Unit 2 (and I'm pretty sure that all of them have done Unit 2). I was thinking of using Chapter 6 (structure of a programming language) as their holiday reading over the summer. Are people thinking of similar or different? Start with the PSM? I don't want to send too many chapters for holiday work.
