[Moodle] Ultranet quick timeline of history

Yes  I know it keeps rolling back, but I thought a detective like your good self would recall just when the first concept of the ultranet hit the headlines.
It feels like quite a few years with. One online source suggests it went to tender in 2007. Surely we were talking Ultranet before that.
Just curious to fill in some of the gaps.

  hehehehe it keeps rolling back and back so it is a very odd and jumpy timeline. Delivery around the latter half of term 4 2010 .. rumors have it very probably going to be slotted in after the next election as this is a clear target.

  You are wise to clarify this although I wouldn't quite say that Moodle is the same as Ultranet. Whilst there is going to be some overlap, there are some important scope and structural differences.

    Hi Folks,

     Since moodle and the ultranet are effectively trying to deliver the same thing, I assumed this was the best list to post to. 
     I was wondering if anyone had a timeline of the ultranet history to date ?
    I need to brief some colleagues on the timeline of the initiative from date of concept announcement, progress, tender, re-tender, how long we have been waiting and when we can expect to see it if we are not an ultranet coach or a select school.
