[elearning] Ipads ... the nitty gritty

We had an Apple representative visit and he told us that's what school's were doing and that it was 'sort of' okay for now. They're aware school's are doing this because there is no alternative. I took this to mean that changes were on their way.

Hi Julie and others,

Doesn't that model of accounts contravene the terms and conditions of the app store? Surely we are not allowed to load 1 purchased app to 5 devices without paying for 5! I am intrigued about how schools are working around this limitation until apple release some sort of education licensing.

Regards

Hi,

We have done as you are planning...it takes a little bit of time to set up but it seems to be working well. I set up the email addresses and Apple IDs so I get an email when the students purchase an app using that account. At the moment 5 students share each account and I've given them a list of what they must download although they are allowed to discuss ideas for apps & download those they all agree on.
