[Busmanagers] Cash Bags

Hi Janet
I am a one person office. Parents are now aware that they cannot hand
money in at our office. I let my parent community know, the ones that
complain, that money coming into the school needs to be double counted
that is why it has to go through the cash books and then to the office.
We have also got payment envelopes printed with school logo. We have
drummed it into them that money is not to be left on desks as we take no
responsibility for it. All monies must go through the teachers and
handed directly to the teacher by the child or if the teacher is OK with
it by the parent. Have stressed cut off dates for money due in and it
has been hard at first but no late payments are accepted unless prior
arrangements have been made. The other thing that we were possibly
looking at now we have the envelopes is a lockable box outside the
office for those parents who wish to pay for excursions etc and don't
want to give it to their kids for whatever reason.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [Busmanagers] Cash Bags
Good afternoon everyone,
Has anybody got any brilliant ideas for a one person office with regard
to receiving cash from families. Although we use cash bags from the
classrooms that have marked cash sheets, we have had a few incidents
lately of parents saying "I left the money on your desk you were busy".
We also accept money directly through the general office and have had
the same comment.
'Strangely our books balance at the end of each day'
Short of writing out cash receipts then and there which is entirely
unpractical or re-iterating to parents not to leave money on desks we
are between a rock and a hard place. Our word against a parent's.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
