We had payment envelopes made a couple of years ago and we have a "mail"
slot at the office that parents can 'post' their payment envelopes in.

All monies are put into the payment envelopes and even if the envelope
is given to the teacher, the teacher doesn't open it - they send it
straight to the office.

It works very well for us - particularly the 'mail' slot which drops the
money into a drawer in the office.

Good afternoon everyone,

Has anybody got any brilliant ideas for a one person office with regard
to receiving cash from families. Although we use cash bags from the
classrooms that have marked cash sheets, we have had a few incidents
lately of parents saying "I left the money on your desk you were busy".
We also accept money directly through the general office and have had
the same comment. 

'Strangely our books balance at the end of each day' 

Short of writing out cash receipts then and there which is entirely
unpractical or re-iterating to parents not to leave money on desks we
are between a rock and a hard place. Our word against a parent's. 

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
