[Busmanagers] Hall Hire and Public Liability

We had the same problem and ended up taking out the insurance ourselves
- through JUA - it's called Public Liability Hirer's Insurance. Costs
around $300 for up to 15 hirings per year.

We then charge each individual more per hire to cover our costs.

Works well for us.

We have a family who would like to hire our hall for a party.  The Dept
requires that private hirers  have there own public liability policy but
this family cannot find an insurance company that will cover them for
this advent.  I have spoken to DET property insurance and JUA and we
definitely can't hire it out without the cover.  Does anyone know of a
insurance company that will offer this cover.

(There home public liabity will only cover them if they have the party
at home.)
