[Yr7-10it] Distance learning - use of ICT?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any examples of how distance learning can be facilitated thro the use of ICT?  I'm looking for specific examples of how IT can help break down the tyranny of distance or illness to make a difference to someone who faces isolation from their group in some shape or form.
