Hi Kerrie,
The first two modules I give them (my Yr 9/10 class) are the
"First Game" (catch the clown), and "Scrolling Shooter" tutorials
that come with GameMaker. I don't expect them to finish the latter as
it's a bit too verbose for most of them. After that I have two more
I wrote, which get the students to make more games with just a
general description of the goal and a collection of hints. I won't
share them just yet, as they are very unpolished. There are better
resources out there on the internet in general; I just wrote my own
to cater to my group's specific needs. Have a look at the web
resources others have posted. If I get time in the next few weeks I
might try to smarten mine up a bit and post them.
