[Yr11 Information Technology] Network Diagram tools

Hi James and all
Whenever I had to use software to design networks (usually at parties), I
resorted to dumb but effective tools like *Inspiration* (the mind-mapping
tool) and *Powerpoint*. Both allowed easy linking of objects. I didn't find
the need for anything more sophisticated.

I remember *Dia <http://dia-installer.de/>* was free, good, and easy. Still
probably is.

But if you were a *fussy fancy-pants*, I guess you'd use *Visio*, but it
always seemed like overkill for simple diagrams.
And it's expensive if you don't get MS Office for free.
Which I don't any more.
Which is why I now use the delightful and free *LibreOffice*. 'I can't
believe it's not Office™'
