<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr">Hi James and all</div><div dir="ltr">Whenever I had to use software to design networks (usually at parties), I resorted to dumb but effective tools like <i>Inspiration</i> (the mind-mapping tool) and <i>Powerpoint</i>. Both allowed easy linking of objects. I didn't find the need for anything more sophisticated.<div><br></div><div>I remember <i><a href="http://dia-installer.de/" target="_blank">Dia</a></i> was free, good, and easy. Still probably is.</div><div><br></div><div>But if you were a <i>fussy fancy-pants</i>, I guess you'd use <i>Visio</i>, but it always seemed like overkill for simple diagrams. </div><div>And it's expensive if you don't get MS Office for free. </div><div>Which I don't any more. </div><div>Which is why I now use the delightful and free <i>LibreOffice</i>.
