[Yr11 Information Technology] Unit 1 Outcome 3 - Website requirements

Stacey, I plan to just cover the basics, inserting images, internal and external hyperlinks etc. Concentrating on the design and look and feel of the site and research into the selected issue. I am just starting Outcome 3 so will not go into the usual technical detail as it is not a requirement.
I have just allowed some of my brighter kids to go the dreamweaver route but with little help from me as they can usually figure things out. Rest of class – WIX.
Not sure how Chay is doing it, probably ahead of me and has more time to spend on this?

Stacey, my understanding is that in the new study design, a tool like WIX (I am using it too) is OK. I used to go with Dreamweaver but there is no requirement in the SD for manipulation of HTML or using CSS etc. All good knowledge and skills but there is no time (I find) so WIX it is for me. I am sure this question has been asked and answered before on the list, but I can’t find it anywhere and my memory is failing me. Can anyone remind me whether an online website creation tool is suitable or should something like Dreamweaver be used for Outcome 3?
