I am always on the lookout for ways to better engage girls in coding and
this Meetup event in the Melbourne City from 6 pm on Thursday 21 June 2016
looks like a great way to meet some of the Code the Future developers and
fellow teachers.

Hi there,

Term three starts soon and the need to get kids coding continues to be
highlighted
in the media <http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/stories/2016/07/04/4491818.htm>.
In particular, there is a strong focus on engaging girls in ICT education.
Luckily, many amazing developers and educators are working on making this
happen.

On Thursday July 21st, Code the Future is holding a meetup on the topic of
engaging girls to code. We invite you to attend to learn more about this
important topic and hear from teachers and volunteer developers involved in
teaching girls to code. Food and drinks will be provided, with the talks
starting at 6:15pm.

Please click here to RSVP, we look forward to seeing you there.
