Hi Roland,
It is a bit of both.
The IT teachers approach students who they think should do the competition but all students are invited generally.
We also give a voucher to the top boy and girl at each year level!

Thanks Judy, I do appreciate the feedback and might register a group for Keysborough. Out of curiosity, do you ask the kids to contribute after calling for expressions of interest or pick the 60?
