OK, not deluged with responses, so...

  ...I was thinking of omitting lookup, cell protection, macros, and
naming ranges until Year 12 - any comments?

Subject: [Yr11 Information Technology] Excel skills @ Yr11

Reading last July's VCAA bulletin, the following was listed as required
knowledge for IT Apps:

*	conditional formatting
*	formulae including simple functions (SUM, average, maximum,
minimum, count), conditional statements and lookup tables
*	cell protection
*	graphs
*	insert notes/comments
*	macros
*	relative and absolute cell references
*	naming a range
*	electronic validation
*	sheet referencing
*	formatting/layout

I have Year 11's this year and for U1O1 I was wondering if the VCAA
cares what I teach or what others have done.

I want to hold back some skills until Year 12.

Anyone care to share what works with them?
