In the past I have asked the class for projects that have tended towards web sites. Easier for a group to work on.
We have created a web site for a personal trainer (mother of a student), a horse trainer (friend of a student's family) and a calisthenics club (students were members).

In each case I sent an email to a contact person indicating that they need to see the group at least twice, to explain their needs and then to evaluate the draft product.
They also need to be available by phone or email when the group has questions or need more material e.g. photos.

When the outcome is finished, the client gets the finished product to load onto the internet if they want.

I have also attached my correction sheet (from last study design, not teaching Units 1&2 this year) which shows an group assessment component as well as an individual assessment.

Hi Everyone,

I am looking a little ahead towards next term, but was wondering if anyone had some ideas for Outcome 3 of projects your students will be creating. I have 3 classes worth of students and therefore need a variety of projects for the students to work in and I just want some ideas as to what everyone else was thinking for this outcome. I realize it must be a real client, but I'm still trying to get my head around what it actually is that they need to produce. For example is a brochure for the local shop down the road sufficient? Or must it be more advanced like a website?

Hi,

What is the timeline for unit 2 outcome 2 with  two parts to it?
Can they get help with teacher on these programming tasks?

It looks like students have a number of weeks to work on tasks so what conditions do they do this under?
