I use a Visual Basic book from the Schaum' outlines series. I find the content simple, almost idiot proof for me, and the kids just get pages I photocopy...instant course! And it works well in VB6 so I'm larfing.

As for OC tasks..it more than covers whatever your needs are.
The schaum series on various topics are usually easy and simple to follow, and this one is no different.
oh, the book is cheap too and can often be found in the usual computer book shelf in your favorite book store! (I miss my pet shop that used to be opposite RMIT's glasshouse - those who knew it will know the one I mean - specially the bargain tables...)

Kent.

I have the same problem with my students. The solution we have used is to give students a set of self paced exercises, attached, and they are given a period of time to complete as many of them as possible. We do no formal assessment of the tasks for grading but use the fact that they have gained skills and shown improvement, even if it is only basic, for satisfying the programming requirement.

Hi List, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for U2 O1???

I have a very weak class of gilrs and all SACs I have found focus on VB programming. My girls will all leave the class in droves if I taught them VB!

I was wanting to create a SAC using Flash and teaching them basic Actionscript through gaming or movie clip animation to make it more interesting. Does anyone have any ideas??
