Hi Daniela,
I use Practice IT by Bowden to teach the basics at Year 10 to Flash beginners, and the great site http://www.flashclassroom.com/cms/flashclassroom/index.php and Flash at  http://ictmindtools.net
However we find action scripting in Flash can be problematic, and at Year 11 would teach Scratch, a free progam from MIT, and encourage the high fliers to 
work through this great VB tutorial http://ictmindtools.net/vb/ run by Margaret Meijers in Tasmania.
She has fantastic resources for many areas of IT.Or students could  tackle a set of exercises from Summers book Programming with Visual basic (a bit more difficult) - newer versions of the book are available.

Hi List, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for U2 O1??? 
 
I have a very weak class of gilrs and all SACs I have found focus on VB programming. My girls will all leave the class in droves if I taught them VB! 
 
I was wanting to create a SAC using Flash and teaching them basic Actionscript through gaming or movie clip animation to make it more interesting. Does anyone have any ideas??
