As far as I knew, the recording stays there for a long, long time, so I hope

Not too sure of the technical issues, but most people seem to be fine once
they upgrade Java.
Once you are actually on, it's really straight forward, so I hope you can
get it working!

I have a 3 year old DEECD laptop and did not have to upgrade Java, so maybe
you can try laptop?
