[vet-it] work experience

Hi,

James, as i understand it, yes, BUT it is strongly recommended.
I usually work in with our careers teacher/coord. and I make sure that in our program
of general year 11 work experience [they're all off to Melbourne for a week] those students work in a fair-dinkum IT area.
Every year it's successful.
There's a task [I set] associated with the experience, i get them to ferret out some answers to questions which the students have to hand in at the end of their work experience. Those questions are also emailed to the place of work beforehand to forestall any difficulties and clear up any issues their prospective 'bosses' might have.
