I agree with Allan.
I don't know about anyone else, but for the past few years, our
students' study scores have actually been marked down - many see this
subject as a disadvantage now since it has become so popular, it is
harder to keep high scores (don't ask me to explain the moderation
process & how study scores get 'finalised').

I think it depends on how the state average goes as compared to the GAT,
and
this then determines whether the study score is marked up or down or
not.

My understanding is they used to (i.e. not anymore) give an extra 10% on
the
best performing subject or something like that. However, that'd only be
if
a student wasn't doing outcomes and the exam for VET IT (like Claire
said).
