Dear colleague
Last night I attended the launch of a documentary on Design Thinking at Swinburne University.
This documentary presented the current discussion on design thinking and the design discipline in today's society.
The following questions were addressed and discussed by high profile designers:
How does design thinking apply to business models?
How are people changing the world using creative techniques and processes?
What is the designer's role in the future?
Before the event, I met a young designer, who told me about this event and has since sent me the following information.
On Nov 2nd<x-apple-data-detectors://0> to 4th, people who are passionate about sustainability, design thinking and collaboration will come together at the Melbourne Sustainability Jam (part of the global non profit initiative). Global participants will be jamming simultaneously from over fity cities; in Melbourne we will also have people from all walks of life, work and motivation.
Jams are about DOING, NOT TALKING!
'Jammers' (as they are called) will gather in teams to work on a new project, be it an app, product, service, campaign, or anywhere passion is directed. Guided by facilitators & mentors, they will have to present their project to a panel of judges and the winner will be awarded with 03 months of HubLite membership (valued at AU$3,000) with mentoring from GetViable.
Tickets: AU$50
Included - Food, drinks & stationary for whole event.
