Hi Con,

One thing schools stress even more than businesses is the need to
centrally control app settings, and if you look in Group Policy there's
just so much a network administrator can do.

Have a look at the entries under User Configuration - Administrative
Templates - Windows Components - Internet Explorer and User
Configuration - Windows Settings - Internet Explorer Maintenance. 

You can be as granular with these settings across your P-12 school as
your Active Directory structure allows. The Year 7s will need a
different list of favourite URLs from the Year 12s, for instance.

There are some side projects that are working on elements of this for
Firefox, and that's exciting for the future.
