I’m speechless. Maggie was fun, inspiring, welcoming and always supportive and thorough. A true professional, gifted teacher and colleague. I worked with her on a couple of projects and always felt I had received more than I gave.

RIP Maggie, you have been outstanding in your contributions to teaching of IT and especially Software Development. For the very short time that I had the pleasure of knowing you, I learnt a lot from you. Am very saddened by the news of your passing but you legacy lives on.

I am also very saddened by Maggie’s passing.
She was an inspiration to me and always encouraged me in my teaching, programming expertise and PD sessions. I met her in 1999 and she suggested that I come into the VITTA fold.
I will never forget the hilarious and eye-opening hacking demos she had students do at the odd conference.
RIP Maggie – so sorry you had to leave us so early.

Words simply cannot express how this makes me feel.  What I can say is that she gave so much to this community.  She helped so many of us tirelessly.  She was so passionate about IT and Software Development in particular, I feel that the numbers of students she has inspired both directly and indirectly through us is beyond measure.  Her involvement with VITTA and VCAA, spanning many years, has often been manifest in ways that many didn't notice - yet her ideas and passion have shaped many study designs, VITTA conferences and publications.  She always had time for anyone that needed it and will be sorely missed.
