I'm running a combined class this year. I don't enjoy it but Schoology and Edmodo have been my saviours. I've played with Moodle a lot in the past but I find kids much less reluctant to use these two tools. Codecademy.com has been a life saver for the programming folio and has left me with a lot of time to spend one on one with the year 12's on U4O2 while my year 11's have been helping each other with Javascript.

Subject: [Year 12 SofDev] Combined IT/SD class

Hello everyone,

We didn't get any U34 IT up and running this year, but I've just been "offered" a combined class of IT12 (9 students) and SD34 (12 students) for next year. The alternative is running SD, but no IT12. This would have implications on numbers at U34 for the following year. Does anyone have experience running a combined class? How were they sequenced? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Chris Paragreen
