A new audit process has been introduced this year, and the details are available at: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/correspondence/bulletins/2011/December/2011DECSUP1.pdf

In a nutshell, there is a two-stage process for each unit. Stage 1 involves schools completing an online survey (due 16 March). A review panel will consider the survey responses and determine if the school proceeds to Stage 2 - this is where schools must provide further evidence such as the assessment tasks and student work. Based on this evidence schools will then be informed as to whether their evidence meets or does not meet the audit requirements.

Schools will then be notified as to whether they will be audited in Unit 4 - some new schools may be included, and schools audited in Unit 3 may or
may not be required to undertake the same two-stage process in Unit 4.

Note: for the survey there are some generic questions relating to assessment in addition to some study-specific questions.

Please read the Bulletin notice carefully so that you are fully aware of your school's requirements regarding audits.

Hi Andrew,
I was audited for VCE accounting last year and was only given notice in May last year. However, I have been asked to take part in a survey for ITA and that response is due back in March. Is that what you mean - not an audit but a survey?
