[Year 12 SofDev] Starting SD for the First time Next Year

Hello Ben,

I got my students to practice opening and saving text files for both sequential and random access files in VB.NET.

Since this is a major part of Unit 4 Outcome 1, by practicing it during transition week, we knew we would be able to do it when it came to the Year 12.

I also did Chapter 1 of Adrian's book.

Hey SD Mailing list!

I'm starting up Soft Dev for the first time at my school next year. We have a week of transition coming up at the end of this year (a few weeks away and closing fast!). Just wondering what I should do with the students, I will get 3 double periods (3x100 mins = 300mins) with them, and they wont have the Text's. I'm using VB.NET 2010.

Any suggestions on what would be a good idea to do in this transition time? What do other people do?
