Your statement about there being no network questions on the 2007 ITA is
incorrect. For example, in Section A there were three questions (5, 10
and 14). In Section B, questions 6a, 8, 12. The key knowledge relevant
to networks in ITA is identified in Unit 3, outcome 2. In the
reaccredited study design, implemented in 2007, the amount of network
coverage was reduced (from IPM) to eliminate duplication between
Software development and IT apps.  This may have been the context in
which advice had been given, namely that the scope of networking in IT
applications was more contained than that in IPM. No advice could have
been given that networking was not going to appear on the IT apps exam,
because it is in the study design. Having said this, it must be
remembered that not all key knowledge is necessarily assessed in an
exam.

I meant the 2007 ITA exam had no network q's on it and teachers were
told to expect this.
