Hi Kim,
 
I have not been using the designers because when I had a go early on I was getting errors also. In my case, I would have to reload VS so I didn't bother. In your case, don't know.
 
To keep things as simple as can be, just write the code to interact with the database and show the data in text boxes. I've just finished writing my SACU41 project so I'm posting a link to it (my next email). You can then see what/how I've done.

Hi,

I have been trying to create a program which connects to an Access
database but every time I try to create the dataset, it comes up with the
message stating that there were problems generating dataset and to resolve
it I have to build the project, fix errors and try to generate the dataset
again.  I build it and no errors appear.  I've attached a screen shot of
the message.

I would really appreciate if someone could help!
