Thanks Kevork, I was curious about a service that is outside the school to
track when the website is up or down. It is more to see when your outside
link falls over than the server itself and perhaps mroe of use when you are
away from school.

Arran and Daniel have gotten me interested in OpenNMS, Cacti and Nagios.
Must show them off to you one day. Each has their different advantages and
we are running them as evaluation VM's although I think I will be greedy and
ask to keep and use the lot. :-)

Say, do you have any thoughts or ideas about SMS gateways?

Regards Roland

>> SiteUptime is a website monitoring service that checks your website at
>> regular intervals and notifies you via email or SMS if it becomes
>> unavailable. We offer a Free 30 day trial of our service. Multiple
>> monitoring servers around the world run protocol based tests on your website
>> at specific intervals. If more than one location detects a connection
>> failure, an email or SMS alert is sent to you.
