I really need those of you who said they'd help to step up now and help
put together the stand.
We can start setting up in the afternoon on Monday 13.
The Show opening hours are 12noon to 7pm on 14 and 15 August.
The stand must be attended at all times between 12noon and 7pm.
So far I have 2 people signed up.

week away!
Important legal
requirements
Electrical equipment -
(such as laptop power
packs, extension leads
and power boards) on
exhibitor stands must
be tested and tagged.
Attached is a form from
Oztag who will do this
at your stand on Monday
13 or Tuesday 14 August
before The Show
opens. Exhibitors are
obliged to pay for
tagging and testing at
the time it is
undertaken. The cost is
$6.60 per item.
Public liability
insurance - exhibitors
need public liability
insurance cover of at
least $5 million. In
most cases, this can be
done at no cost through
your existing public
liability policy.
Contact your insurance
company or broker to let
them know you will be
exhibiting at The
Education Show. If you
don't have public
liability insurance,
contact Resources for
Courses as we can
include your company as
part of our public
liability at a cost of
$100.
A few reminders
Move in - 2pm to 6pm on
Monday 13 August and
Tuesday 14 August 8am to
11.30am. Goods moved
from the carpark under
the exhibtion hall can
only be hand carried.
Goods requiring trolleys
or fork lifts must be
delivered via Loading
Dock 6 accessed from
Normanby Rd. We suggest
you bring a trolley as a
limited number are
available. See page 5
of the Exhibitor Manual
for more goods delivery
details.
Moving goods during The
Education Show - goods
can be moved through the
exhibition hall by hand
only. Moving goods by
trolley must be done
between 8am and 11.30am
(before The Show opens)
via Loading Dock 6.
Show opening hours -
12noon to 7pm on 14 and

Food and beverages -
available from the kiosk
and Sebel Cafe coffee
cart at the rear of the
exhibition hall and the
small cafe near the
entrance of Melbourne
Exhibition Centre. A
food trolley will be
circulating for
exhibitors to purchase
snacks.
The Exhibitor Lounge -
located on Level 1,
accessed via the
Organiser’s Office at
the front of the
exhibition hall.
Complimentary tea and
coffee is available in
the Lounge. To access
the Lounge ensure you
are wearing your
exhibitor badge.
Packing up when The Show
closes - packing up
cannot take place until
all visitors have left
the exhibition hall. An
announcement will be
made to let you know
when this has occurred.
Collecting goods on
Thursday 16 August - can
be done between 9am and
1pm. Contact our staff
during The Show to be
shown where to leave
goods which must be
marked with your
organisation's name.
Unless special
arrangements are made
goods/displays remaining
after 1pm on Thursday 16
August will be taken off
site and stored at
exhibitor’s expense.
Hi-Vis safety vests - to
be worn during move in
and move out. Safety
vests can be purchased
from any major hardware
supplier.
Alternatively a vest can
be supplied from the
Organsiers Office. A
refundable $10 deposit
is required.

dial up or broadband
modem lines to your
stand - if you need
connnection ensure you
have completed the forms
in the Exhibitor Manual
and faxed them to MEC
