[Offtopic] Mac and PC living in harmony

Alan,

These 'hybrid' environments are actually quite common, especially in the
tertiary sector. In fact, the reverse is also true. If you have a
predominantly Mac network, you would still have a Windows Server to run
Active Directory for any Windows computer that you might plug in.

It isn't called the magic triangle for nothing as it is a cinch to manage.
The trick is to set it up correctly with the right advice and hardware for a
typical secondary school environment. Daniel Stefyn
dstefyn at gmail.comhelped us with ours and more recently, a couple of
OSX deployments and AD
integrations around the place (you are not the only school thinking of
heading down this path). Give him a call.

Regards Roland

PS: Disclaimer, Dan once worked at a tech at our college and volunteered
support for the VITTA conference. You have already bumped into him. ;-)
