Hi Folks,
Xampp is a great simple php/mysql/apache combination for some serious programming teaching and learning. Coupled with moodle would make for a formidable teaching platform.
Xampp is very easy to install and use. Keep us updated with your progress Bill and if you need more help.
Take Care

Hi Bill,
I used a clean 2GB memory stick and installed a USB version of XAMPP This creates an Apache web server with Mysql and php. Unzip a Moodle zip file to the web home directory (I think it is in htdocs) of XAMPP and run the web server. Type localhost into a web browser and it should run. It's very slow but I have had it working. Moodle has some detailed info also you might like to refer to. Good luck.

Hi everyone,
Can anyone point me towards the instructions for installing and running
Moodle from a memory stick?
I have looked through the archives but had no luck so far.
