[Moodle] on a memory stick

Hi Bill,

I used a clean 2GB memory stick and installed a USB version of
XAMPP<http://www.pendriveapps.com/xampp-portable-web-server/>This
creates an Apache web server with Mysql and php. Unzip a Moodle zip
file to the web home directory (I think it is in htdocs) of XAMPP and run
the web server. Type localhost into a web browser and it should run. It's
very slow but I have had it working. Moodle has some detailed
info<http://docs.moodle.org/en/Windows_installation_using_XAMPP>also
you might like to refer to. Good luck.
