[Moodle] Setup

Nic put it well.... 
 
Another thought, when I am setting up courses, and don't want students peeking too soon I go to the "Availability" in settings, and make the course "not available for students". This means only I can see it as I potter around fiddling and adding things.

Hi to all you experienced Moodle users,

 

We are just setting up Moodle at our school and we are in the initial phase of setting up Moodle across the school and allowing staff and students to trial setting up and using courses. Forgive our "beginner" questions please, but we are unable to figure out at this point how to hide courses from students and teachers who are not participants in these courses. 

 

One other question, could you recommend any books or websites that might be helpful at this point. (Other than the Moodle site of course.)
