Thanks Greg and others,
It was never my intention to patronise or dismiss the valuable work by teachers who present at these events and all that they contribute. I have passed all of this feedback onto the DLTV conference team and I can assure everybody that they are listening to our voices and reading our words. Remember that I am not in a position to just change this policy or speak for the event budget. If you have some thoughts about a speaker policy or these charges, it is best to contact the DLTV directly by dropping them a line office at dltv.vic.edu.au <mailto:office at dltv.vic.edu.au> or giving them a call.
Regards Roland

When I read this, I thought of the many teachers I have seen (including myself) gathering up the free writing pads and pens. Ouch .. http://nofreelunch.org/news.htm
