May be a little late for this outcome but maybe good to put in the resource bank.
I found this today when talking about DDoS attacks with my year 10's

I took a quick look at the site and realised that... Wow!!! It's war out there... better stay in doors and hide under the bed...

Couple interesting stats from the about page about DDoS attacks..

$150 can buy a week-long DDoS attack on the black market. TrendMicro Research
More than 2000 daily DDoS Attacks are observed world-wide by Arbor Networks. ATLAS Threat Report
1/3 of all downtime incidents are attributed to DDoS attacks. Verisign/Merril Research


It seems that DDoS attacks are a big "threat to data"..
