Hi All

I am a massive fan of Scratch, which I have used with students of ages
5-18. It has an excellent remix culture with the ability to download games
etc from the site and repurpose/learn from them etc.

However if I was looking for something for an entire unit I would be using
GameSalad http://gamesalad.com/Its an incredible piece of software that I
used to produce and iOS and Android game with. You can download it for
Android for free at
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thepegeek.bugdrop&hl=en
I would be very eager to have students build content using this tool and
publish them to real app stores.

I have also played around with www.stencyl.com which allows for intense
but achievable development of flash and iOS games etc.
