Chris

Another good idea is to break a SAC down into sections

Period 1 Design; Period 2 Development...., Period 5 Testing, Period 6 Evaluation or Test.

I only hand out enough information to students that they need each day. At the end of each lesson I mark the work completed that day.

The problem arises when a stage lasts longer than one period, as development often does

I try then to break down that into sections

For U3O2 I have students created the tables, relationships and then populate the tables with data in one period.

The following day I give them a list of queries - so they don't see the queries in advance (although I did supply two of the queries initially so they could complete query designs on Day 1)

A disadvantage though is sometimes students might finish a task 3 quarters of the way through a period, and as I will not let them continue on the next task it can waste a little bit of time, but it helps keep my results a little bit more authentic!!!
