I would have to second that. Base is not particularly friendly and the documentation is sparse. Fair enough for Open Source Freeware I guess but not nice for beginners.

Last year I attempted Open Office Base, in order to cater for cross platform without additional purchasing (those darn kids with Macs!)

Would not recommend. A bit buggy and not a lot of documentation around.

Apart from Access and Filemaker is anybody using other databases? Is anyone using Excel? Thanks in advance.
