[Year 12 IT Apps] Advice on running a PHP/MYSQL course? (Lee, James)

Hi Jamie,
 
I got an older workstation from our techs and installed unbuntu with Apache/PHPO and MySQL.
 
While there are easier and shorter term solutions, I like this solution as it provides a long term solution that all students can easily access the server without the interferance of GPO rules.

Hey peoples,

Does anyone know the easiest best way to set up PHP/MYSQL to work in a
computer lab, so
students can create and test their PHP work easily in a localised way that
doesn't involve
uploading to a web server every time you change something?

Any suggestions on the best way to teach PHP as well? Target audience are
year 9s.

Any advice is appreciated,
