[Year 12 IT Apps] Intranet/Extranet solution

Hi Antonia

We use a custom built solution by Alaress it is good and links with the
admin package Synergy.  A possible free solution might be using a
program called Claroline.  It is built for a school environment and
organised by subjects and classes.

HI fellow listers and sorry for the cross-posts.

This year I have a new position (Director of Learning) at a new school
(St. Aloysius College, North Melbourne) and am investigating the
purchase
and implementation of an intranet.

We have a few in mind and have googled several, however, I would like to
hear from those of you have Intranet solutions - what they are? your
opinion/evaluation? approx. cost if you know it? their functionality;
other. Looking forward to your responses.
