Our school is reviewing it's timetabelling arrangements. How are your
days structured to facilitate a reasonable amount of VCE contact time? 6 by
50 mins, 4 by 75 mins, 5 by 60 mins. How many lessons/contacts do you have
with your IT class per week? Do you have singles or doubles - what do you
think is the best arrangement? Seeking input

  Ellen Rankin

Learn how easy it is to use Open Source Software and the Netbook software
in classroom programs.

Would you like to improve your skills with a range of software which you
and your students can use for learning in the classroom?

Some Victorian students have been given powerful and compact netbooks to
take their learning beyond the classroom walls which allow them to learn
anywhere and anytime.

VITTA is keen to support teachers who are currently participating in these
trials, and those who are interested in Open Source Software by running an
Open Source Professional Learning Event. Meet Russell Blackie from the DEECD
who is a late guest speaker at the Open for Education day.

  Date: Wednesday 10th June, 2009
  Time: 8:30am - 3:15pm
Venue: Forest Hill College, 178 -180 Mahoneys Rd, Burwood East, 3151 (Mel
Ref 62 C5)

CD with Open Source software and documentation that can be freely
distributed.

Full program and registration details are available on the VITTA website
