[Year 12 IT Apps] Study design content

It does seem rather like hair-splitting. Putting testing &
documentation into the development phase is not, I feel, a significant
difference.

In my travels I have seen the SDLC range from ADDIE to ADDTDIE, and a
dozen other variations, some with completely different phases including
Feasibility Study and Maintenance.

Visit wikipedia and webopedia and it's obvious that there is no single
definition of 'SDLC'. The glossary itself admits that the stages are
rather arbitrary since is mentions that "in this study the method chosen
involves", implying that other methods exist and may be just as valid.

So why, I wonder, was testing and documentation omitted from the SDLC
but included in the PSM? Was it done for a reason, or was it arbitrary?

And if there is in fact no effective difference between the SDLC and
PSM, why persist in assigning them different numbers of phases when in
fact all the same actions are being done in both models, but some
actions are subsumed into other phases?

Anyway, it's not a serious problem. It just seems a bit odd to me.

It's 'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.
Spelling is not an art, it's a sceince.
