[Year 12 IT Apps] OT Interactive whiteboard

Hi Andrew,
 
I have organised a purchase of a mobile interactive whiteboard to be used by our principal class at meetings and conferences.   The mobility is great but I don't think it is getting used as much as I did expect.  Lack of confidence in the use of the whiteboard is an issue so lots and lots of training, TLC etc is needed to have the whiteboard used at staff meetings by the management team.  When it has been used, the feedback is great.  The fact that brainstorming and notetaking can be saved and distributed later in hard or electronic copies is great.  
 
Beware of the white elephant factor.

Apologies for the of topic question.
 
This is relevant to all staff who have Interactive Whiteboards at their school.
 
Currently the school is looking at purchasing their sixth whiteboard, with the Idea being to place it into the staffroom.
The reason behind it is that they hope it can be used for staff meetings as well as training and show'n'tell  for staff.
I can personally see the benefits of that i can also see that it may be a white elephant.
 
Have any schools done this or heard of this being done and can give me some feedback.
