The VCAA site
http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/studies/infotech/it-apps-software-sr.pdf

Makes mention of all the (database) skills the student should be able to
execute, but does state that students are only required to demonstrate
the *majority* of functions in an outcome.

So while use of macros for efficiency may be desirable, they are not
necessary for the outcome. But do need to be taught as part of the
study design. (Students are expected to execute each listed function of
a softare tool and macros are a listed function)

Cheers...

Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] Macros - Question arising from Friday's PD

Hi all,
On Friday's PD at Melbourne Uni, Maggie's session on unit 3 said
that students do not need to actually do a macro in the outcome but
could do
them as activities before and/or after the outcome has been completed.
On
the other had, Mark's session stated that students had to do macros as
part
of the outcome.
Could anyone please clarify which way we have to go here.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
