As I understand there is the possibility that all schools will be
exempted from this sooner rather then later but until then schools only
need to keep attendance of staff records.I know the CEo and VIEu were
working on it not to sure about state schools at the moment.

I.e. where you at work on the 10th of sept Yes or No and if not why?

we basically have a time sheet which we tick each day hand in at the end
of the month and leave it at that.

Subject: [Year 12 IPM] Time clocks

With the new WorkChoices Time and Attendance Federal Workplace Relations
Regulations commencing on 27th September, all employers are required to
record and keep start, finish time and total hours for all staff paid
less than 55K. This means that most School support staff and teaching
staff will fall into this category. There are fines up to $2,750 per
employee for workplaces that are non-compliant.

I would like to know how schools are handling this issue? Are there
schools that have gone down the path of Time clocks (Like the
Flintstones?) and which ones would they recommend?

regards
