[Year 12 IPM] Compressing Powerpoint Files_OT

I have Office 2000 in my lab, however if I (or the kids) need to
upload or email a PPT, I (or we) take it to a computer with PPT 2003.
In Office 2003 (and Office XP I think), on the picture toolbar there
is a compress option, you click on the picture, then choose the
little compress picture tool and the options are there.

I converted 50 or so pics from a school camp to 640 by 480, but the
PPT the kids put together was around 12mb from memory, we took it to
the APs computer, did the compress image thing and it went down to
1.6MB! Pretty easy and done so that it is easy to explain to non
technical teachers.

Cheers, Terri.
