3dgoals.com Scores a Sporting Screen Spectacular With World Cup Highlights
In 3D 15th June, 2006

Ascensio System has released 3dgoals.com which puts World Cup highlights
within easy reach of football fans - in 3D.

The 3dgoals.com website offers a new way of experiencing the game. Football
fans worldwide are now able to watch the most memorable moments of all 2006
World Cup matches through the eyes of any player on the pitch or from any
other spot in the stadium - even from the point of view of the ball itself.
Added to this are match information, live scores, schedules, tournament
news, statistics and 3D stadium tours - all free of charge.

Because regular TV broadcasts only allow the pitch to be seen from fixed TV
camera positions, the best viewing angles can sometimes be entirely missed.
However, using short, dynamic 3D animation clips based on the live action,
3Dgoals.com gives the viewer total control of the camera position and point
of view, so match highlights can be watched from any angle, whether off the
pitch or right in the middle of the action, all seen in crisp, vivid images
and high quality graphics.

The World Cup match highlights, statistics and 3D stadium tours will be
available for free to all internet users throughout the duration of the
tournament.

Founded in 2006, Ascensio System Limited is an IT company that develops
applications for professional football performance analysis. The
applications use tracking and animation authoring algorithms which achieve
3D virtual reality representations of matches.
