I think it is interesting to note that when you use help in the Office
XP suite, the default (or at least on my installation) is to get help
from Microsoft Online.
>From a users perspective, provided they are online, they do not know
whether the help is coming from a local file or the internet.

Hi Sam
I think this is another of those grey areas:
Are online help and online support the same thing?
Or is online support a subset of online help?
If they are the same then
Online help: any electronic documentation or support for that program
* Program help menu
* Online manual
* Website FAQ's
* Email support (often on FAQ's pages)
* Forums
* Mailing list
Etc...

Hi Sam,
I would interpret the help files as local online help, and then
anything on the internet as global online help.
Cheers
Damien

Subject: [Year 12 IPM] online help
Hi
Can someone please clear something up for me:
Does online help refer to the help menu built into a program as well as
online support provided by a company???
Thanks.
